Frequently Asked Questions

Accelerated resolution therapy, or ART, is a type of therapy that combines principles from several traditional forms of psychotherapy to reduce the effect of trauma and other psychological stressors. Using techniques such as rapid eye movement and image rescripting, this approach works to recondition stressful memories, changing how they are stored in the brain to improve overall mental health.

Most single sessions are scheduled for 55 minutes. We offer in person and tele-therapy sessions to best serve our clients.

I am a certified Accelerated Resolution therapist but also utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Cognitive Processing therapies and EMDR to deal with the most severe trauma cases.  I have years of helping couples using the Gottman method, which focuses on seven components of a healthy relationship.

I have years of working with children of all ages, including toddlers, children, preteens, and teenagers. I work with these age groups to build the skills early in life that will make them stronger and more resilient. Often, the children come out of therapy with a new appreciation of the control they have over their own emotions and how they can manage challenging situations.
